WHAT WE COLLECT
We collect only the bare essential details required to link your physical vehicle tag to your contact channels:
- Your Name — Used strictly to personalize communications and display your designated caller ID when activated.
- Phone Number — Primary or alternate number routed when another driver scans your tag via direct call or WhatsApp.
- Vehicle Number — To bind your vehicle registration with the unique cryptographic QR specimen code.
- Payment Information — Processed securely through encrypted payment gateways for one-time tag fulfillment. We never store raw card numbers or UPI PINs.
Reassurance guarantee: We do not collect unnecessary personal information such as your residential address, government ID proof, biometric data, or real-time GPS location.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
Everything we process serves a direct functional requirement for your tag's operation:
- Activate and Manage Tag — Pairing your unique QR hardware code with your user account in our secure system.
- Allow Others to Contact You — Enabling scanners to send you quick alerts via phone call or WhatsApp when parking assistance or vehicle attention is required.
- Service & Safety Updates — Informing you regarding critical changes, hardware replacement dispatches, or platform security notices.
We do not use your information for advertising or share it for marketing purposes. Your number is never monetized or sold to third-party brokers.
WHERE IT'S STORED
Your data is housed exclusively on enterprise-tier, highly resilient cloud architecture with modern security controls:

End-to-end access audit logs and TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols guard every user session and dashboard management action.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Our data lifecycle is mapped exclusively to active tag ownership:
Your contact details remain linked only for as long as your Setu tag remains registered and in use. Whenever you choose to deactivate, transfer, or retire your vehicle tag, all associated personal telephone and contact records are systematically purged from our active systems.
YOUR RIGHTS
You hold absolute ownership and dominion over your data at every moment:
- Right to View:Request a complete copy of all phone numbers, vehicle tags, and service history linked to your account anytime.
- Right to Correct:Switch your primary number to a spare SIM, toggle WhatsApp calling permissions, or update details in real time.
- Right to Delete:Request immediate and irrevocable erasure of your details from our active servers with zero residual retention.
STATUTORY GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL DESK
